In Harry and Ginny’s house, there was a cupboard under the stairs. Ginny noticed how Harry would never want to open it or store anything in it, so she asked him why, and he told her about how his aunt and uncle made him sleep in the cupboard under the stairs for ten years.
Later that day, James Sirius asked his father, “Dad, is it really true about your aunt and uncle making you sleep in a cupboard?”
Harry looked at his son with a shocked look on his face.
“Um, I was sort of eavesdropping when you were talking to Mum.”
Harry thought a moment, decided his son was old enough, and said, “Yes, it’s true.”
James Sirius hugged his dad and said, “I’m really sorry, Dad.”
