I finally watched “Captain America: The First Avenger” the other day, and it was lots of fun.

Steve Rogers trying to enlist in in the military during World War II and getting rejected … that just made me want to give him a hug.

That scene when the guy throws the fake grenade and he jumps on it to save everyone else … so awkward and so sweet and so emotional all at once …

Avengers Steve Rogers Deleted Scene

WHY DO I HAVE THE FEELING THE ONLY REASON THEY CUT THIS IS BECAUSE EVEN GROWN MEN WOULD”VE SOBBED IN THEATERS???

Nearly every single person in the bottom gif except for Steve is using some sort of electronic device. That’s.. beautiful. And heartbreaking.

There was an Avengers post a little before this on my dash, so when I saw this, I thought, Neville Longbottom, The Avenger. I am now imagining Neville joining The Avengers. He would be so awesome. They would all be surprised by the magical world (especially Steve) and maybe being friends with Bruce would result in Neville being better at Potions.

And now, mentioning Bruce has reminded me of a thought I had a while back: that I think that Bruce and Remus would be good friends, or at the very least, have something in common that they could talk about.

“Could we not talk about this?” Steve Rogers said, awkwardly, glancing at the subject in question.

Bruce Banner looked up in good-natured confusion. “It doesn’t bother me, Captain.”

“It’s certainly worth thinking about. Hypothetically speaking,” Tony Stark piped in. The others nodded.

# Read this. Right now!

Ree, what did you say about having writer’s block? Well, it must have ended or be on it’s way because this is the Best Thing Ever. It is just absolutely so perfect … and sad and horrifying … and moving and emotional … and just … perfect.

I saw The Avengers a couple of days ago.

It was so awesome. All of the heroes were so great in the movie, and it was so moving and hilarious and just generally so much fun. There were times in the theater when the audience literally laughed out loud.

I must see Captain America and Iron Man now. (I missed them when they were first released.)

Am I the only one who thinks Hawkeye was really cool? For some reason, I tend to like the characters who are archers. One of my friends in school thought his character was really cool as well.
